The beginnings of the choir can be found in the autumn of 2010, when a vocal ensemble was founded in Carnikava municipality.

In July 2014 the choir participated in the World Choir Games and received Golden diploma in the Folklore category. At the beginning of 2015 it won two 1st places in the International Sacred Music Festival “Silver Bells” – in category of Mixed choirs and in Grand Prix category. In April the choir achieved the highest level in yearly local amateur choir competition of Latvia. In 2015 it took part in competitions in several European cities, including Tallinn and Torrevieja. In 2016 the ensemble successfully participated in Stasys ?imkus International Choir Competition, winning the Grand Prix, as well as two special prizes – for the most promising youngest conductor and best performance of original composition by a national composer.

Jurgis Cabulis (1992, Latvia) started his professional life in music and conducting in 1999, in Riga Cathedral Choir School. Since 2012 he has been studying choir conducting at the Latvian Academy of Music. In 2010 he founded “The Voice of the Wind” with which he won a Golden diploma in the World Choir Games in Riga, and two 1st places in the International Choir Competition “Silver bells” (2015). In 2016 The Grand Prix was won in Stasys ?imkus International Choir Competition in Lithuania.  In 2014 he got 3rd place in J. V?tols International Choral Conductors Competition and later the same year – 4th place and the special prize – Concert project with Wroclaw NFM Choir – in Choral Conductors Competition “Towards Polyphony”, held in Poland. Since 2013 he has been working as a conductor in the professional Riga Chamber Choir Ave Sol and since 2016 – as a chief of Choir Conducting Department and artistic director of a mixed choir in Riga Cathedral Choir School.
