Tuscan Youth Choir – Arezzo, Italy
The choir, including 40 young musicians from different provinces, was founded at the end of 2016 by the ACT (Tuscan Choirs Association) with the aim of increasing the interest of young people in choral music of high level. It performed in Firenze, Arezzo, Livorno, Massa Carrara, Pisa, Pistoia and Prato, and represented the Tuscan choir art in the “Officina Corale del Futuro” project, promoted and organized by the Italian Federation of Choirs – Feniarco, with the support of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies.The event took place in April 2017 at Montecatini Terme and the choir performed there with 12 other regional choirs and in Florence, in Santa Maria Novella Church. In 2007 the ensemble had some successful performances at the: Salerno Festival, organized by Feniarco, where it appeared with the Italian Youth Choir, Guidoneum Festival, held within the International Choral Competition “Guido d’Arezzo”, International Polyphonic Meeting “Città di Fano” , and the Umbrian Festival “Cantico – Assisi Choral Fest”. In February 2018 they performed in Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, hosted by Florence International Music and Arts Festival.

Benedetta Nofri is a choir conductor, teacher for conductors and member of jury in choral competition. She graduated in Educational sciences and pedagogy, and attended the three years course of the Scuola superior per direttori (high institute for conductors) of the Fondazione “Guido d’Arezzo” and received Master’s degree in choral music and choral conducting at the Conservatory of Trento. She achieved important results in national and international competitions with her choirs. She was selected as a member of the Italian Youth Choir and she is a singer of “Ut insieme vocale consonane”, winner of Europian Grand Prix for choral singing (Varna 2016). She is a member of the artistic committee of Fondazione “Guido d’Arezzo” and artistic director of the first composition competition “Giulio Salvadori” and of the Association Crome & Cromatismi.
