Vanya Moneva is one of the notable names in the history of Bulgarian choral music, founder and conductor of the “Cosmic Voices” Female Choir. She graduated with first-class honours from the National Academy of Music “Pancho Vladigerov” in prof. Vasil Arnaudov’s class, with “Choir Conducting” field of studies, which marked the beginning of her impressive artistic career. Before “Cosmic Voices” Choir, Vanya Moneva served as music director and conductor of the “Mistery of Bulgarian Voices” Choir, the Women’s Traditional Music Choir of the Bulgarian National Radio, the “Aleko Konstantinov” Representative Mixed Choir, the Sofia Girls’ Choir, the “Petko Staynov” Representative Mixed Choir, and the Choral School of Kazanlak, as well as of many other choral groups in Sofia, Lom, and Stara Zagora. Among Vanya’s numerous awards and recognitions are First prize at the Open category of the „Let the Peoples Sing“ international choir contest of the European Broadcasting Union, 2015, Musician of the year 2014, awarded by the Bulgarian National Radio, a special „Crystal Lyre“ award commemorating the choir’s 20th anniversary in 2014, „Golden Feather” for contribution to Bulgarian culture, Classic FM Radio, 2001, and many others. Vanya Moneva is a musical producer in Bulgarian National Radio.
